At Local Roots March 12-17

Spring is definitely early this year! So maybe it's time to start busting out the favorite spring traditions. This week we're leading up to St. Patrick's Day, so you'll soon find my Irish cheddar soda bread -- and maybe a more traditional version -- on the shelves at Local Roots.

Here's what else you'll find on my shelves at Local Roots Market this week:

--Apple strudel bread
--Artisan wheat bread
--Basil pesto flatbread
--Breadsticks (sesame, rosemary-garlic, and cheese)
--Cheese crackers (cheddar, garlic-herb, pepper jack)
--Cheese-herb artisan bread: feta-oregano, gouda-sage, Miami Erie Canal (Swiss style) with parsley
--Cinnamon-pecan bread
--Dried tomato flatbread
--Garlic-herb bread
--Garlic pita chips
--Honey spelt oat bread
--Light rye bread
--Maple oatmeal bread
--Pain aux noix
--Pizza crusts
--NEW! Rhubarb-ginger strudel bread
--Savory apple flatbread
--Sesame thins
--Spelt bread
--Tea rings and pecan rings
--Whole wheat pita
--Whole wheat sandwich bread
--Zaatar flatbread

In the bakery case, you'll find:

--Applesauce cake (my nephew's favorite!) with homemade applesauce, Stutzman Farms whole wheat flour
--Raisin scones with whole wheat flour and oats from Stutzman Farms
--Swiss cheese rolls with cheese from Green Field Farms

Saturday, I'll be sharing some of my favorite Irish Breakfast treats at Today's Kitchen Store. The class is full -- but you can always stop by to shop and inhale. Fumes are free! :-)
