At Local Roots June 1-4

Whew! It's been a scorching couple of days, even more so since I've had the oven up to full speed. But that's all to your benefit, since it means fresh bread is coming your way at Local Roots!

Here's what you'll find on my shelves at Local Roots Market this week:

--Baguettes and boules (part whole wheat)
--Basil pesto flatbread
--Cheese crackers (pepper jack)
--Cheese-herb artisan bread: cheddar-chive, chèvre-rosemary, and possibly one or two others once I restock my choice of cheeses
--Cinnamon-pecan bread
--Garlic-herb bread
--Honey spelt oat bread
--Light rye bread
--Maple oatmeal bread
--Pain aux noix
--Pita chips
--Pizza crusts
--Sandwich buns
--Sesame thins
--Spelt bread
--Tea rings (some with pecans)
--Whole wheat pita
--Zaatar flatbread

There will be two kinds of vegetable rolls for your lunchtime enjoyment this week:

--Asparagus-herb, a non-dairy roll with Autumn Harvest organic asparagus, Karen's Garden Delights garlic chives and parsley, and Sunsations sunflower oil

--Chili-chard, with Adonai Acres tomatoes and green onions, Karen's Garden Delights chard, dried red peppers, and Blue Jacket Dairy's Firelands (chipotle) cheddar curds

I will also have hazelnut shortbread in the bakery case, with lots of delicious Hartzler Family Dairy butter, Stutzman Farms wheat and buckwheat flours, and local hazelnuts.

Come into Local Roots, cool off, and enjoy!
