At Local Roots March 30-April 2

This week, here's what I'll have on my shelves at Local Roots:

--Baguettes
--Cheese-herb artisan bread: cheddar-dill, chèvre-rosemary, feta-oregano, and Lock 21-peppercorn
--Cinnamon-pecan bread
--Dried tomato flatbread
--Garlic-herb bread
--Homestyle rye bread
--Honey spelt oat bread
--Maple oatmeal bread
--Pain aux noix
--Pizza crusts
--Pumpernickel bread
--Sandwich buns (NEW! made with spelt flour)
--Sesame thins
--Spelt bread
--Tea rings (some with pecans)
--Zaatar flatbread

In the bakery case, you'll find two kinds of vegetable rolls:

--Chili-cheese: Last week's chili-bean roll was very popular, so I'm bringing it back this week with a twist: more onions, more peppers, and pepper jack cheese from Ohio Farm Direct. Add a little spice to your lunches this week!

--Spicy Thai greens: It's been a while since I pulled out my favorite spicy Thai peanut sauce recipe for a vegetable roll, but last week, Kevin Leamer of Por-Bar Farms brought in loads of fresh greens -- spinach, arugula, and an Asian greens mix with tatsoi, mizuna, radishes, and pea shoots -- that begged to be added to this roll. Vegan as always!

Bon appetit!
